XOLA EXPLORES THE SUPERSTITIOUS BELIEF THAT A TOXIC RELATIOSHIP CAN CHANGE IN HER DEBUT SINGLE “SIXTH SENSE”

After years dedicated to songwriting and a debut concert at SPOT Festival 2022, XOLA is now ready to release her debut single “Sixth Sense”.

XOLA proudly presents “Sixth Sense”, a song born out of an urgent need to put her frustrations around a toxic relationship into words. She is in the midst of a moult, and the process of casting off a relationship that isn’t healthy anymore requires listening to your sixth sense, and letting go of the superstitious belief that a toxic relationship can change.

Inspired by artists like GRIFF, Tove Styrke, and Amelia Moore, XOLA, the artistic moniker of Simone Ledet, emerges from the Danish music scene bringing a unique blend of melancholic electro-pop with Scandinavian influences. Based in Copenhagen Denmark, XOLA is not only a great singer but also a skilled songwriter and topliner, whose multifaceted talents are evident in her work.

In her June 2024 feature on the song “Anymore” with ANDROZONE, released by Gemstone Records, XOLA’s soft yet intense vocals invite you to the dance floor. With the upcoming release XOLA looks to further cement herself as a strong new voice on the international scandi-pop scene.

As a writer XOLA has collaborated with creators such as Jack Newsome (US), BBYBITES (DK), KRYD (DK), Malte August (DK), Benjamin Rosenbohm (DE/DK), Valentin Buchwald (DK), Samuel Ledet (DK), Slwmo (DK), and many more.

Collaborating with her on “Sixth Sense” is producer Samuel Ledet (Marshmello, Blæst) producer Mathias Thunbo (Nik Marek, Malte August) and writer Christoffer Rohde-Frisk (Brooks, Sickindividuals). Some of XOLA’s future releases include a single in November 2024, and an EP in the fall of 2025.

“Sixth Sense” is out 6th September 2024, listen on all streaming platforms and follow XOLA on Social Media for updates on her upcoming releases and performances.
