NEW EP ‘MORE’ ARRIVES MARCH 28
2025 MODEL & MORE TOUR UNDERWAY NOW
Wallows share their enigmatic new single “Coffin Change” via Atlantic Records today. It was debuted today as BBC Radio’s Hottest Record along with an interview with Jack Saunders. The single also heralds the arrival of their upcoming More EP on March 28, 2025. Pre-order/Pre-save HERE.
“Coffin Change” storms out of the gate powered up by a propulsive groove and fast-paced drumbeat. Dreamy guitar underlines buoyant verses, while a pensive and chantable chorus takes flight, “Up, up, and away. Heaven doesn’t change…It’s an unrealistic thought.” On the final bridge, a wild guitar lead stretches to those same skyscraper-size heights as the vocals echo. Watch the video which was shot on tour by Cloudy Thoughts below.
The band paved the way for More with “Your New Favorite Song,” which earned widespread critical applause. Interview Magazine hailed it as “brimming with pop synths, light vocals, and instrumental flourishes,” and Billboard included it on Friday Music Guide, going on to assure, “Wallows’ upward trajectory continues with “Your New Favorite Song,” a dreamy slice of pop-rock that could serve as a crossover hit for a Los Angeles trio that’s become a sizable touring act over the past few years.”
In honor of Record Store Day, a limited-edition evergreen and white vinyl pressing and CD version of More will exclusively hit the shelves of independent record stores worldwide on April 12. Notably, this is the only physical release of the project. Fans can find participating stores HERE.
Wallows delivered the debut live performance of “Your New Favorite Song” on Triple J’s first ‘Like A Version’ of the year, along with covering The Marias “No One Noticed”. Both performances and the full interview are available on Triple J’s YouTube channel. Additionally, their standout single from Model, “Calling After Me,” landed at #75 on Triple J’s Hottest 100 of 2024. This marked Wallows’ first appearance on the acclaimed station’s countdown and was notably the highest charting US band.
Wallows have also announced more dates for 2025’s Model & More Tour. The new headline dates begin May 9 in Mexico City, Mexico and run through June 15 in Asheville, NC. The Model & More Tour launches tonight, February 6, in Omaha, NE. Special guest Deb Never will be joining for all February headline shows & Porches for the May/June US headline dates. Wallows canvassed the globe on their epic 2024 Model Tour, closing out the year in Europe & the United Kingdom in October and Australia in December. Wallows’ biggest headline run to date, The Model Tour saw the band showcasing songs from Model alongside a range of classics and fan favorites from their RIAA Gold-certified debut, Nothing Happens, and its acclaimed follow-up, Tell Me That It’s Over. The tour, which had already seen Wallows making their debut performances at some of the world’s most iconic venues, including New York City’s Madison Square Garden, Toronto, ON’s Budweiser Stage, Morrison, CO’s Red Rocks Amphitheatre, Los Angeles, CA’s Kia Forum, Amsterdam, Netherlands’ AFAS Live, and Paris, France’s Zénith – wrapped up its sold-out UK leg with a show at London’s historic Alexandra Palace before heading Down Under for dates including Melbourne, Australia’s Margaret Court Arena.
Released in 2024, Wallows’ third studio album, Model, includes singles “Your Apartment,” “You (Show Me Where My Days Went)” “A Warning,” and “Calling After Me,” the latter of which earned Wallows’ biggest release day streams thus far and marked the band’s debut on MediaBase’s Top 40 chart. Before the end of the year, the band shared “BAD DREAM,” an alternate take on the fan favorite single of the same name from the album. A number of cinematic official music videos and more are streaming now at YouTube.
Produced by GRAMMY® Award-winner John Congleton – who previously collaborated with Wallows on the breakthrough Nothing Happens – Model was met by immediate critical applause from such outlets as DORK, which hailed it as “everything that makes Wallows so immediate and a stunning, natural evolution into their next chapter… an album that smashes the mark with laser precision.” “It’s clear that growing up together has allowed the members to fully play in on each other’s best qualities, resulting in a no-skips record,” wrote CLASH in an 8/10 rave.Perhaps GRAMMY.com said it best, noting, “Model helps lift Wallows’ career into a new sphere of guitar-driven stardom.”
Wallows celebrated Model’s arrival with a number of high profile live TV appearances, including a spectacular set as part of the Citi Concert Series on NBC’s TODAY that saw them performing “Bad Dream, “Calling After Me,” “Your Apartment,” and the classic “Are You Bored Yet?” before an enthusiastic audience of fans on the TODAY Plaza in New York City.
