Los Angeles-based artist urika’s bedroom shares new single “XTC”. The song is urika’s first release on True Panther Records and employs bruising alt-rock riffs alongside sweet sonic ekstasis.
The track arrives alongside a music video directed by urika’s bedroom and Donovan Novotny, which finds the artist gliding across a rural landscape punctured by the abstract motion of The Creature. In his own words describing the song urika shares, “even if it takes all night.. liquid silver burns the tongue and the language of devotion echoes.”
Later this week, urika’s bedroom will be heading on tour beginning with a NY headline show at Elsewhere Zone One on June 7th and then embarking on the road with Nourished By Time for a full North American run making stops in Philadelphia, Montreal, Toronto, Chicago, Los Angeles, and more. Guitar in hand, urika’s bedroom moved to Los Angeles in 2018 and began playing in various genre-fluid bands, leading to fruitful creative relationships and producing for like-minded artists such as untitled (halo) and Ded Hyatt. In fall 2023, ub invited audiences into an intimate artistic space with his debut single “Junkie.” Shortly after urika’s bedroom headed out with Youth Lagoon on their North American tour to play to audiences live for the first time.
