Soul-stirring vocal sensation Raiche has shared her latest single, “Hearts At War,” available now via GDE/Island Prolific/Atlantic Records. The new track heralds the eagerly awaited release of the acclaimed artist’s upcoming EP, Making Room, arriving on Friday, October 18.
“Hearts At War” follows last month’s premiere of the soulfully contemplative “Thinking Of You,”. The EP was first heralded earlier this summer by the raw and evocative title track, “Making Room,” available now. The self-growth anthem – which arrived alongside a series of visual vignettes on social media – marked the first new music from Raiche since last year’s critically praised Loveland,. Rather than crumble under the weight of a brutal breakup, Raiche wiped the tears from her eyes, grabbed a pen, locked herself in the studio, and pushed herself harder than ever. She mustered every last bit of confidence and charisma she had and pulled power out of all that pain. The Boston-born and Los Angeles-based singer, songwriter, and performer alchemizes a season of heartbreak into a soulful, sultry, and spirited kiss-off to the past across a series of 2024 EPs, beginning with Making Room [Genre Defying Entertainment/Island Prolific/Atlantic Records]. Even though the breakup was mutual, Raiche found herself at her lowest point in the aftermath. She holed up in Atlanta for three months in the summer of 2023. During this time, she recentered herself. She took long walks and listened to audiobooks such as Jay Shetty’s 8 Rules of Love: How to Find It, Keep It, and Let It Go, Paulo Coelho’s The Alchemist, and Dream Your Problems Away.
