In Zoey’s own words, she describes the EP title of ‘Too Many Nights’: “When the rest of the world is asleep, I feel most connected to myself and find comfort in my own solitude. ’Too Many Nights’ is the story of my late night thoughts and feelings. A mirror of my own reflection. My journey of growing & learning to love myself.”
Lead track ‘not responsible’ will instantly transport you to a sunny afternoon by the Seine, sipping on a martini and realising that you don’t need your deadbeat ex. Zoey’s Anglo-French roots make a strong appearance with the coalescence of her dainty vocals and the carefree, Parisian melody. A breakup song without the tears, ‘not responsible’ is a breezy, gentle intro to the 6 song EP that solidifies Zoey Lily as a firm one to watch this 2023.
