Today, rising Puerto Rican artist ROA shares his new single “FANTASIA.” Infusing his roots in contemporary Puerto Rican trap with the smooth intensity of R&B, “FANTASIA” explores the depths of unspoken desires.
His first offering of 2025, “FANTASIA” is the latest single following the release of EP Private Suite, Vol. 2 which reached No.7 on Top Latin Albums chart in Apple music and includes the Billboard Top 50 Hot Latin-charting “ETA – RMX,” a summit of Puerto Rican trap’s new generation featuring De la Rose, Luar La L, Yan Block and Omar Courtz, which has garnered over 70M streams to date. This latest accomplishment follows his showstopping performance in the Dominican Republic last week which saw the rising star perform at Amazonia Social Club in Santo Domingo at full capacity.
ROA is one of the most impactful new voices of Puerto Rican trap’s new generation. The Naranjito-born trapero came up alongside artists of El Movimiento’s new wave. An esoteric underdog moving in silence, he slowly gained an audience of 1M+ on social media through his distinctive style. Sculpting the chiseled trap-soul coo and hard flow that made his name, he began releasing music under his mononym with 2023’s Private Suite Vol. 1 which includes a series of well-received singles followed, including the R&B-tinged 12M+ streaming “JETSKI” remix —with Bryant Myers, Omar Courtz, and Dei V – as well as “UuU2” alongside rising trapero Hades66. The latter track, and its remix with Luar La L took his native Puerto Rico by storm, going No. 1 on the island and top-ten across Latin America. In two years and with only two EPs under his belt, ROA has reached 596M total streams with 4.9M monthly listeners on Spotify.
