New wave star OsamaSon joins forces with online jerk rap phenom Nettspend for their OK-produced collaborative single “withdrawals” out now along with an accompanying music video. A high-profile collaboration between two of Gen Alpha’s must-watch new acts, “withdrawals” (feat. Nettspend) is a post-rage anthem that blends shimmering keys with addictively surrealist bars. Known for his irresistible hooks, off-kilter adlibs, and otherworldly flows, the Charleston, South Carolina, native has been on a transcendent run as of late, while Nettspend recently made waves for his viral appearance with Anna Wintour at Paris Fashion Week.
2023 saw OsamaSon release his critically-acclaimed debut project Osama Season, which was lauded by the likes of Pitchfork and Our Generation Music and featured tracks “X & Sex” (18M Streams), “Werkin“(5M+ Streams), and “Troops” (5M Streams). Project Flex Musix quickly followed later that year, which boasted contributions from some of rap’s most noteworthy new producers, including Rok (Young Thug, Lil Uzi Vert, Future, Ken Carson), Legiiion (Ken Carson), and Skai (SoFaygo) and was bolstered by hit tracks “Pop” (11M Streams), “Trenches” (9M Streams), “All Star” (8M Streams), “Blonde” (7M Streams), nd “Baghdad” (3M Streams).
It’s already been an explosive year for OsamaSon, who kicked off his Flex Musix Tour on February 18th with eleven sold-out shows across the United States. The tour followed the release of the deluxe version of Flex Musix, FLXTRA, which debuted at #8 on Apple Music’s All Genre charts and garnered strong buzz thanks to songs like “Rehhab” (6M Streams) and “Cartel” (5M Streams). Recent months have seen the rapper link with Glokk40Spaz for collaborative project 3vil Reflection and make guest appearances on Draco’s “Flex” and Jovon???’s “Rolling My Spliff???”. The next generation icon also recently turned heads with a high-energy performance at Lyrical Lemonade’s Summer Smash in Chicago and is slated to travel across the pond this summer for appearances at both London’s Wireless Festival and Rolling Loud Europe in Vienna.
OSAMASON
OsamaSon doesn’t just break ground — he upends it altogether. After piling up millions of streams independently and earning critical acclaim from the likes of Pitchfork and more, the Charleston, South Carolina, rapper introduced a vision without parallel on a series of 2023 singles and his debut project Osama Season. Growing up, he embraced Southern hip-hop icons a la Lil Wayne, Gucci Mane, Three 6 Mafia, Project Pat, T.I., and 2 Chainz — and at the onset of the global pandemic, he began to cook up songs of his own on Garage Band and post them to Soundcloud. OsamaSon initially gained traction with a nonstop barrage of viral Triller posts before turning up the heat with tracks “frontrow”, “in dat cut”, and “garfield”. He caught fire with Osama Season in 2023 highlighted by songs “X & Sex” (18M Streams), “Werkin” (5M+ Streams), and “Troops” (5M Streams), as well asfollow-up project Flex Musix, which boasted production credits from Rok (Young Thung, Lil Uzi Vert, Future, Ken Carson), Legiiion (Ken Carson), and Skai (SoFaygo) and was bolstered by hit tracks “Pop” (11M Streams), “Trenches“ (9M Streams), “All Star” (8M Streams),“Blonde” (7M Streams),and “Baghdad” (3M Streams). Now, he’s turning the page on his next chapter with new single “withdrawals” (feat. Nettspend). With even more music on the horizon, it’s only going up from here for OsamaSon.
