Hitmaker and Selected. mainstay Nu Aspect has teamed up with vocalist-of-the-moment Poppy Baskcomb to deliver a huge hit-in-the-making. ‘Over The Edge’, co-produced by Punctual and co-written by Miggy Dela Rosa, released on 27th September via Selected.
Dramatic yet mellow, the emotive and danceable, ‘Over The Edge’ packs euphoric deep house sounds with the warmth of classic trance. It’s like Café Del Mar and Binary Finary’s ‘1998’ reworked for modern ravers.
‘Over The Edge’ lands perfectly. A slightly off-kilter synth evolves, paired with Poppy’s celestial vocals. After a cinematic build-up that sits within a vast sonic space, Nu Aspect – when many producers might opt for an all-out frenzy of drums – drops into a simple, elegant drop where the soft thuds of the kick drum converge with minimal percussion that leaves space for imagination.

Singer-songwriter Miggy Del Rosa is one final contributor to ‘Over The Edge’ that simply can’t be forgotten.
