Housing support from Clash Magazine, Mixtape Madness, Culture Custodian, FL Mag, and many more, “For You” marks the start of another exciting year ahead for Khaid.
Underpinned with a smooth rhythm and infectious melody, “For You” is a heartfelt Afrobeats song that details Khaid’s love for his fellow love interest. Painting a vivid picture that exudes dedication and romance, Khaid promises to keep his partner smiling, by doing whatever it takes. Speckled with emotional depth, the hit-maker continues to emphasise his ability to build an intimate connection with his growing audience through candid, relatable lyricism. Glossing the feel-good track with his silk-like vocals, “For You” is the first taste of what is yet to arrive this year from Khaid.
Speaking on the inspiration behind the track Khaid commented, “For you is inspired by love circles that go around in my everyday life. I was inspired by how love can be sweet now and just go all sour in less than a minute. Also the assurance in love, like if I am there for you are you going to be there for me? This just got me inspired and I came up with the song.”
