Set to feature on their forthcoming album “business core” dropping in October, the duo take a deep dive into the stereotypical mundane lifestyle in their brand-new thought-provoking single.

Speaking on the meaning behind the release distraction4ever commented, “‘you’re an actor’ is the opening track of distraction4ever’s upcoming album. It sets the tone for a day in a 9-to-5 job, where you’re compelled to play a role, being someone else to fit in the mass where nobody remembers your name , ultimately being an actor in your own life.”
distraction4ever, made up of members Beau Geste and Slipshift made their debut in 2022. The trailblazing duo are best known for ingenious melodies, captivating production and effortlessly ability to switch their lyrics from English to French, adding a unique bilingual edge to their punk sound. Based in Montreal, the pair have accumulated a cult-like following from their modern post punk sound. Gearing up for the release of their “business core” album set to drop in October, distraction4ever will be performing on the mainstage at Palomosa on September 6th and are looking to throw “rave-style” release parties in both Montreal and Toronto in October for its release.
