ADDS ADDITIONAL DATES TO FALL WORLD TOUR
What the press is saying about Mk.gee & Two Star & The Dream Police:
“Mk.gee’s performance was more captivating and enigmatic than even his recorded music” – Billboard
“A virtuoso”v-v – The New York Times
“Nothing Short of Magic” – Rolling Stone
“Nothing in contemporary music sounds quite like it” – Pitchfork
Throughout the year, Mk.gee has shared spellbinding live videos of songs from his lauded debut album Two Star & The Dream Police. Now, he shares a new one for fan favorite track, “Alesis.” The visual was recorded in upstate New York and directed by frequent collaborator Danica Kleinknecht. Previously, he released live visuals for hit singles “Are You Looking Up,” “Dream Police,” and “Candy,” and most recently, “Breakthespell,” filmed at one of his two sold-out shows at the Fonda Theatre in Los Angeles, which earned high praise from Billboard, describing the show as “a must-see for concert lovers.”
At the end of last month, Mk.gee concluded his run of 18 sold-out shows across North America. Shortly afterward, he announced a fall world tour and has recently revealed additional dates, including second nights in Los Angeles, NYC (Terminal 5), Melbourne, and two additional shows in London.
The expansive new run will see him traveling across North America again with bandmates Andrew Aged and Zach Sekoff, both to perform in new cities and return to play exponentially bigger venues in cities he visited this past spring. In addition to his North American dates, Mk.gee will be traveling to Europe and the UK, capitalizing on the momentum from his venue upgrades in London earlier this year, which also saw sold-out success. Mk.gee will be completing the tour down under with a week of dates throughout Australia. Tickets are available at mk.gee.com.
Two Star & The Dream Police has captivated the musical world, drawing praise from fans and fellow artists alike, including Eric Clapton, who said in a recent interview, “he has found things to do on the guitar that are like nobody else.” The album has received widespread acclaim and has landed on Best Album of the Year (so far) lists including Billboard, Complex, The New York Times, NPR, Rolling Stone, and Vulture. Following Two Star’s release, Mk.gee ignited more widespread admiration making his late-night television debut with a standout performance of “Are You Looking Up” on Jimmy Kimmel Live!.
