What the press is saying about MIKE’s Young World festival:

“one of the area’s richest and most captivating scenes”New Yorker

“it’s a feat you only achieve when your music can turn fans into family”Office Magazine

“a way to celebrate the more localized worlds that young artists share with their fans”Rolling Stone

MIKE unveiled the full lineup for the fourth annual edition of his free New York festival Young World, in collaboration with Central Park SummerStage and Supreme. Taking place once again at Herbert Von King Park in Brooklyn on July 13th, Young World IV will boast performances from Earl Sweatshirt, Skaiwater, Stacy Epps, Myaa P, Baby Osama, Stahhr, Sideshow, and a special set from MIKE himself. Alongside the musical performances, Young World IV will also host an assortment of local Black-owned businesses as vendors on-site, all hand-picked by MIKE.

For the first time, MIKE is also announcing an official afterparty for the festival at Brooklyn’s Paragon beginning at 10pm. The afterparty is being hosted in collaboration with Dweller, the pioneering, independently-funded electronic musical festival platforming Black electronic artists and centering Black perspectives. Titled World Dweller, the after-party will feature performances and DJ sets from Anysia Kym, Detroit in Effect, Dilemma, Klein, and WTCHCRFT. The first 150 attendees will get in free before 10:30 with RSVP and tickets will be available for purchase.

Young World IV serves as a celebratory capstone moment for the first half of the year for MIKE, following the release of his critically acclaimed collaborative project with Tony Seltzer, Pinball. The project has earned widespread praise from the likes of Pitchfork, NPR, and Rolling Stone, and has landed a spot on multiple “Best Albums of the Year (So Far)” lists including ComplexConsequence and UPROXX. MIKE also recently wrapped up the biggest headline tour of his career with a sold-out hometown show at Webster Hall last month. The Somebody Fine Me Trouble tour spanned 52 dates across Europe, the UK and North America and included support from 454, Niontay, El Cousteau, Mark William Lewis, Jadasea and more. Over the past five years, MIKE has released 8 solo albums all through his own 10k label, including his entirely self-produced album Beware of the Monkey which Interview Magazine called it “a triumph.”
