ANNOUNCES HEADLINING #AOTC WORLD TOUR

“a breath of fresh air in a humid room” – The New Yorker

MIKE, nèe Michael Bonema, announces a new headlining world tour titled #aotc and shares new single “Pieces of a Dream” via his own label, 10k. The 71-date tour will see MIKE spend the spring of next year on the road traversing North America along with the UK and Europe from February 27th to May 31st. The self-produced new track “Pieces of a Dream” arrives with a Ryosuke Tanzawa-directed music video and signals the next phase in MIKE’s illustrious and prolific young career. Presale starts Monday, October 21st via MIKE’s socials, followed by general on-sale Wednesday, October 23rd at 10am local time.
Earlier this year, MIKE released his collaborative project with producer Tony Seltzer, Pinball, which arrived back in March to critical acclaim, with Rolling Stone calling it “a fearless sonic shift,” and exposed his distinct sound to a much wider audience, becoming his best streaming project out of the gate. Pinball continued an unprecedented run from MIKE that saw him release three full-length projects in the span of 6 months, including Faith is a Rock with Wiki & The Alchemist and his widely-lauded ninth studio album Burning Desire, which Pitchfork called “transformative and cathartic.”
The announcement of his forthcoming tour expands on MIKE’s biggest run of shows to date with his Somebody Fine Me Trouble tour earlier this year, when he embarked on a massive 54-date EU & US tour, selling over 19,000 tickets. That run preceded the 4th edition of his annual Young World festival in Brooklyn this Summer, which saw a peak attendance of 8,000 fans and included performances from Earl Sweatshirt, Pete Rock, Skaiwater, Baby Osama, and more. MIKE’s continued growth as an artist and cultural figure through his music, his live show, and community-building with his Young World festival have seen him cement himself as one of the more important voices in hip-hop this decade. With “Pieces of A Dream,” he’s setting the stage for his next chapter with more new music on the way.
