Multi-Platinum singer-songwriter Kehlani has unveiled a brand new single, “When He’s Not There,” feat. Lucky Daye available now via Atlantic Records. The track heralds the upcoming arrival of Kehlani’s much anticipated new mixtape, While We Wait 2, arriving this Wednesday August 28.
“When He’s Not There” continues a landmark year for Kehlani following the triumphant release of her acclaimed fourth studio album, CRASH. Hailed by Pitchfork as “exhilarating…a grab bag of genres that reflect the dizzying ups and downs of desire and self-examination,” the album includes such hits as “Next 2 U“ and the smash summer anthem, “After Hours,” the latter of which was named among Rolling Stone’s “Best Songs of 2024 So Far” after garnering 4.6M US streams in its first week alone, marking the strongest debut of Kehlani’s career.
