ISABELLA LOVESTORY SHARES NEW SINGLE “PUTITA BOUTIQUE” FEATURING TAICHU

Isabella Lovestory shares the latest preview of her forthcoming album with new single “Putita Boutique” featuring Argentina’s TAICHU. Following her recent collaboration with PinkPantheress and Shygirl on “True Religion” to start the year, Isabella’s new single is an inescapable electro pop banger produced by Chicken and Mechatok, distilling her bespoke sound down to its essence of colliding mainstream pop influences with the rebellious flare of reggaeton and experimental electronic. The single is accompanied by a transformative video shot in New York City, co-directed by Isabella and Colter Fellows, where she and TAICHU  undergo a makeover at an underground boutique before a night out.

The video finds Isabella returning to New York after taking the city by storm to celebrate the drop of last summer’s standout single “Botoxxx” with a night to remember which commemorated the re-opening of Bushwick’s beloved queer nightclub RASH. Following the explosive exhibition that showcased her unique and maximalist creativity and visual artistry,  Isabella released two more singles over the course of 2024 with “VIP” and “Puchica”, which bookended her Plastic Fantasy tour with stops in Mexico City, Monterrey, Buenos Aires, Sao Paolo and Chile. Isabella also played a series of Summer festival dates in Europe, and closed last year with a beloved set at iii Points Festival in Miami, which she documented in a photo diary with Interview Magazine.

Born in Honduras before moving to the US and then Canada at 13 years old, Lovestory has positioned herself as a trailblazing force paving her own way at the cross-section of pop and reggaeton making her and icon in experimental music. In 2022, she made her mark with her debut Amor Hardcore, which Pitchfork characterized as “playful, maximalist, and flirtatious to the core.” With an experimental reggaeton sound equally influenced by Spanish trap and goth electronica, Isabella’s forthcoming body of work extends her maximalist sonic experiment even further outside the lines, drawing on her beloved Y2K pop influences, textured synth-wave, her K-pop peers, and the defiant unapologetic women she looks up to, such as Lady Gaga and Sonic Youth’s Kim Gordon.
