Burgeoning Norwegian rap artist Ash Olsen presents her long-awaited second album, titled “GOLDEN CHILD.” Spanning eleven captivating tracks, this highly anticipated release serves as a sonic chronicle, intimately recounting the emotional rollercoaster of a young woman traversing the intricate landscapes of same-sex love and relationships.

Speaking on the new project and its beginnings, Ash Olsen explains; “One of my first readings with my «spiritual guide» as I like to call her, told me that I was a golden child and she said that Golden Children are born with a very clear mission, and most of us have never been here before so they might struggle with physical life here. And that meant that I was one of few that had come to earth for a bigger purpose and that is also why I had probably felt very alone and lonely growing up. And that shit sat with me and she also said as a joke that I should call my album that, and then the more I thought about naming the album that’s what I came back to everytime.. so thanks to her I have a fire album name <3”
The project so far has taken Ash across the globe, having spent time in Los Angeles recording and filming her music videos for “Low” and “The Juice”.
In the wake of her immensely praised 2021 EP, “ASHY,” that spawned hit tracks like “KITKAT” and “WILDIN’, Olsen now takes her artistic prowess to new heights with her latest endeavour. Emboldened by the overwhelming success of her recent single, “someone else“ which garnered effusive praise from respected publications such as Clash Magazine, Why Now, Culted, Earmilk, and The Independent (who prominently featured the song in their highly sought-after ‘Now Hear This’ playlist), Olsen’s forthcoming project not only showcases her growth as an artist but also promises to enthral audiences with its inventive and captivating sonic landscapes.
