Following a momentous summer with his viral summer hit “I Adore You” alongside hit-maker HUGEL and Topic, the Zimbabwe born and London-based Grammy nominated multi-faceted creative Daecolm has unveiled the highly anticipated acoustic release. Continuing to captivate the masses with his butter-like vocals, “I Adore You”  hones in on Daecolm’s passion for Afro-fusion music and astounding ability to push it globally.

The original track was a seamless fusion of Afrobeats and contemporary electronic production, stripping it back in the acoustic version and letting his vocals shine, Daecolm emphasises his ability to create music that resonates globally through a multitude of cultures and genres. Reputable for his covers and remixes [Drake’s “Hotline Bling”, Chris Brown’s “Under The Influence”, etc] the promising force is well-known for his thought-provoking and heart-plucking lyricism, not to mention his use of  infectious melodies with his reputed smooth vocal tone. As summer begins to come to a close, the I Adore You acoustic version poses as the perfect wind-down for what’s been a spiralling summer for Daecolm.

Born in the South of Africa  and now based between South-West London and Johannesburg, Daecolm has spent a large portion of his life between the UK and US. Growing up in a musical household listening to the likes of Ladysmith Black Mambazo, SA House and Kwaito songs, Daecolm swiftly found himself becoming infatuated with the sounds around him. Developing his music over the years, he’s now written alongside household names Chris Brown, J Balvin, Ty Dolla $ign, Anitta, Mario, Wiz Kid, Adekunle Gold, Tiësto and more, further emphasising his lyrical ability. On a mission to spread love, positivity, and good vibes throughout his catalogue, Daecolm debuted with his take on R&B, however, growing his confidence over the years and having the chance to visit his home of Southern Africa, he began to string cultural elements in the foundations of his music. Creating a sound that translates across borders all over the world, Daecolm is gearing supporters up for more unrivalled music.

Housing previous support from GQ (South Africa), MixMag (Germany), BBC Radio 1, Captial FM, Capital Dance, KISS FM, and KISS Dance, “I Adore You” has accumulated over 20 million streams across DSPs. Currently sitting at #27 on Shazam’s ‘Global Top 100 most Shazamed songs’, he’s also reached #49 on Spotify’s ‘Global Viral’ charts and #73 in Netherlands ‘Official Single’ charts. Selling out seven shows across Europe in Ibiza, France, Greece, and more in under 3 weeks of “I Adore You”’s release, including the PAROOKAVILLE festival in Germany in front of 30,000 people in the Topic & Friends set.
