GIRLS OF THE INTERNET FEATURING ALLKNIGHT RELEASE NEW SINGLE ‘GRAVITY’

Tom Kerridge’s celebrated Girls of the Internet collective returns to Classic with the label’s first ever garage release ‘Gravity’, featuring vocals from Glasgow’s ALLKNIGHT. The success of previous singles on Luke Solomon’s label, ‘Affirmations’, written by Sophie Faith, and ‘Never Ever Ever’, featuring Irish singer-songwriter shiv, cemented the group as authorities in the realm of soulful dance music – one that fits the label’s sound perfectly.

The year has already been busy for the group, who in March revealed a remix of legendary producer Moby’s ‘You & Me’ with Anfisa Letyago and sold out a show at The Jazz Café in London. Now unveiling latest single ‘Gravity’ featuring Glaswegian dance vocalist ALLKNIGHT, an artist who has garnered
millions of streams across collaborations with rising electronic producers.

Gravity’ showcases the upbeat side of the collective’s signature sound; an eclectic amalgamation of Tom’s love of jazz chords and boogie basslines create an electrifying track, underpinned with a UKG beat and spotlighting ALLKNIGHT’s ethereal vocals floating atop.

Girls of the Internet’s manifesto is clear; to create dance music that calls back to how it was made at its inception, but with the knowledge and experience of the past 50 years of the genre, joining the dots that have not been joined for a long time. Finding their musical home in Luke Solomon & Derrick Carter’s Classic Music Company, releasing alongside the likes of Honey Dijon, Floorplan, Seven Davis Jr., Isolée, & Gemini; Girls of the Internet prepare to release their latest album When I Lost, I Found Myself coming soon, with Tom bringing together acclaimed British vocalists and songwriters. Previous singles from the project ‘Affirmations’ written by Sophie Faith, and ‘Never Ever Ever’ featuring shiv and Oscar Jerome, demonstrate the innate musicality of the project, with the intention “to create beautiful songs within a ‘dance’ or ‘house’ framework.”
