+ RETURNING TO AUSTRALIA FOR NATIONAL TOUR IN APRIL
Following her signing to Warner Music in collaboration with Atlantic Records last month, singer-songwriter Esha Tewari has today shared her stunning new single “things i want”. Continuing her sonic exploration, she fuses vulnerability and soothing harmonies with an elevated production that still feels grounded with her previous bedroom-folk releases.
On the single Esha shares, “Growing up I loved watching 90’s rom coms, and the soundtracks for those movies were always feel good with a splash of melancholy at times. Bands like Sixpence None The Richer, and The Sundays were a big inspiration for this song. ‘things i want’ helps me expand my world, with a more upbeat sound but keeping the same heartfelt lyrics that I’m always drawn to”.
In preparation for a North American Tour being scheduled for mid 2025, Esha is returning to Australian stages for her second headline Australian tour throughout April and May. Esha Tewari (pronounced ee-sha teh-wah-ri) started releasing music in February 2024 after posting covers and original songs on TikTok. She gained traction with the independent release of her single “beautiful boy”. Quickly growing a fanbase that she affectionately calls “Tewarians”, she amassed over 13 million global streams, 758K monthly listeners on Spotify, 240K Instagram followers and 258K TikTok followers. Over the space of the year she has released the EPs i can and Better Off, and is currently preparing for the release of her third EP. Last month she released the lead single from the project titled “you were mine” which continues the evolution of her acoustic leaning indie-folk sound and has gained over 21K TikTok creations with the original sound.
