CHRYSTAL’S HEDONISTIC HOUSE ANTHEM ‘THE DAYS’ REACHES NEW PEAK IN THE UK #5 IN THIS WEEK’S OCC

Bolton-born singer/songwriter and producer Chrystal has made a triumphant return to the charts, starting off the year by reaching a new peak of #5 in the UK OCC this week with her feel-good house anthem ‘The Days

Originally created in 2015 and then signed in 2024 via Chaos Label and Polydor Records, ‘The Days’ has seen a resurgence over the last few months, finding a new generation amongst Gen-Z who have been circulating the track wide across all social platforms.

Resonating with a handful of leading names in the UK dance scene, the track has been remixed by the likes of Rudimentalsouthstar and D.O.D, plus received a viral remix from Bristol-born musician NOTION which has inspired over 130K creations on TikTok.

What started as a project that was never to come out has now become a social media sensation, thanks to Chrystal’s sister, family & friends encouraging her to reupload her album to streaming services. Her own daughter then picked up on the fact that the track was fast becoming a favourite with fellow Gen-Z.

‘The Days’ has now cracked the top 5 on the OCC Singles Chart this week and accumulated over 30.9 million Global streams on Spotify. The nostalgic house banger has also peaked at an impressive #2 on the Spotify UK Viral chart with the NOTION remix and is currently breaking through charts in over 17 territories including #3 in New Zealand and #7 in Australia.

This reactivity is also reflected at SoundCloud, where the track has received a total of 3 million plays. On Shazam, both the original and NOTION remix have topped the Shazam UK Dance Chart, the latter also climbing to #2 in Apple’s Dance Chart.

Over on YouTube, ‘The Days’ has reached over 8 million views across original uploads and fan-made bootlegs and secured the #12 spot on the YouTube United Kingdom Top 100 Music Videos.

Chrystal’s journey in music began 13 years ago when she first took a music production course at college in Manchester. Her first EP ‘All Ur Love’ quickly amassed over 1 million streams, and she continued releasing projects that fuse R&B, House and Garage influences. While life took her in different directions as she focused on family, the recent revival of her 2015 single has reintroduced her music to a new generation who have wholeheartedly embraced ‘The Days’ as a timeless track.
