BLUSHER RELEASE NEW SINGLE “OVERGLOW”

Hot on the heels of the announcement of their debut Australian headline shows, Australian three-piece Blusher are back with the release of their new single “Overglow,” – arriving alongside an official visualizer, which first premiered on Ones To Watch.

A buzzy, sparkling crush confession, the song is full of the fizzy excitement and energy you carry around with you when you’re completely obsessed with someone. Starting in Melbourne, the song was finished whilst the band were on tour in the US, then mixed in London, while the visualizer was shot in Tokyo.

Speaking on the track, the band shares, “We channeled the feeling of our first crushes, a shimmering Tokyo skyline, and Britney Spears riding a motorbike through the sky in the Toxic video. It’s done a whole lap of the world with us, and we couldn’t be more excited to share it. We hope it leaves people radiating with energy and inspires someone to yell their crush confession over the music on the dancefloor.”

Having supported Tove Lo, Aurora and The Rions in Australia, and Dadi Freyr in North America, the UK and Europe, the band are playing their long-awaited debut headline shows in Australia later this year, with their debut London headline show happening this week.

The band recently appeared in Leicester Square for London Pride, and at BST Hyde Park headlined by Kylie Minogue, whilst later this month are festival dates including Latitude Festival and pop-up DJ sets around London.

Overglow’ follows recent singles “24 Hours in Paris,” “Accelerator” and Rave Angel”, which are the first taste of new music for the trio since the release of their debut EP Should We Go Dance? in mid 2023.

In the past 12 months Blusher have been named as one of Spotify’s RADAR artists, showcased at The Great Escape UK and SXSW Sydney.

About Blusher:
In Blusher’s metaphorical teen rom-com of a band, all three members are the leads. They share vocals on their songs and swap instruments during the live shows. They all produce and write together, utilizing their individual experiences cutting their teeth as solo artists before forming the band. Unfiltered lyricism peppered over dreamy synths and thick baselines lands the Blusher sound somewhere between late-night solitude and a 2am dance floor. Since Blusher launched into action at BIGSOUND in 2022, the trio are on track to become a staple amongst the Australian pop landscape. The trio have garnered support from the likes of triple j, iHeartRadio Australia, People Magazine, Vogue Australia, RUSSH Magazine and DORK Magazine.
