Following up her JUNO Award win for Best Electronic Album, BAMBII shares her first new music of 2024 with new single “SHH.” The new song embodies BAMBII’s limitless vision for club music in a 90-second sprint, with pounding bass and mesmerizing vocals that command the room, even when they’re no louder than a whisper. “SHH” expands upon the production style she honed with Infinity Club, hinting at the dynamic, more experimental places she plans to take her music with a forthcoming project coming this year.
The Toronto-based DJ, producer and artist cemented herself as one of electronic music’s most prominent new voices with her debut EP Infinity Club. The project was widely lauded by the likes of Pitchfork, Rolling Stone, The Guardian, 032c, Resident Advisor and more. More recently, she graced the cover of FACT Mag, where she spoke about collaborating with Kelela on her 2023 album RAVEN and how her Caribbean background has shaped the way she sees the role of music in the world and on her travels.
BAMBII brought a special DJ set to MixMag Lab in London earlier this month to close out a run of club shows and festival dates across Europe this Spring including We Love Green in Paris. She’ll be back in Europe this Summer for a few select festival dates including Sónar Festival in Barcelona next week.
