“Balu Brigada are all about experimentation, inspired by genre-mashing musical giants Gorillaz and Frank Ocean. Their songs perfectly soundtrack coastal road trips, summer BBQs and flirty dancefloor moments – effortless, laidback cool….Balu Brigada’s time is now.” – ONES TO WATCH

“We’re ecstatic to announce that we’re unleashing our FIRST EVER headline shows in the USA!” said the duo. “The ‘CAN’T BE YOUR DOG’ tour will be kicking off in Feb and we want to have you howling along with us for it x See you there! (Woof)”
2024 has fast proven a landmark year for Balu Brigada – a.k.a. multi-instrumentalist/dual vocalist/co-songwriter/co-producer brothers Henry and Pierre Beasley – underscored by the success of their hard-hitting latest single, “So Cold,” available now via Atlantic Records. An official music video currently boasts over 1M views and counting.
Recently named SiriusXM Alt Nation’s Critical Cut for September 2024, the bittersweet, bass-driven track has earned more than 5.6M worldwide streams to date and continues to reach new heights daily, including prestigious inclusion on EA Sports FC 25 soundtrack. This summer saw Balu Brigada handpicked by Twenty One Pilots to join them on the North American leg of their hugely successful Clancy World Tour, an epic arena run highlighted by show-stopping sets at such famed venues as Las Vegas, NV’s MGM Grand Garden Arena, Dallas, TX’s American Airlines Center, Brooklyn, NY’s Barclays Center, and Chicago, IL’s United Center, to name only a few.
Hailed by i-D as “an actual band of brothers making tunes stacked with hooks that’ll run circles around your brain for days,” Balu Brigada grew up in an environment that challenged the musical norms, fine-tuning a distinctive future-facing approach all their own, prioritizing dual vocals, prominent bass hooks, and punchy drums while showcasing a left-of-center pop sensibility and natural ability to skate genres – the result being a singular sound that is uniquely Balu Brigada. The Beasley brothers arrived on the scene with 2022’s debut EP, I Should Be Home, and quickly garnered over 1M monthly listeners on Spotify and global critical acclaim for their signature blend of irresistible hooks and introspective lyricism, highlighted on such releases as last year’s breakthrough EP, Find A Way, which amassed more than 15M worldwide streams on the strength of the top 10 viral smash, “Designer” and the heartbreakingly funky title track, “Find A Way,” both joined by official music videos streaming now at YouTube HERE. Along the way, Balu Brigada received applause from such outlets as Rolling Stone, Ones To Watch, and PEOPLE, the latter of which named the band to its “Talented Emerging Artists Making Their Mark” list, praising their “soaring falsetto choruses, synth hooks and an irresistible, underlying groove.” Now, with “So Cold” – and more inventive new music to come – Balu Brigada are quickly ascending ever higher on what has already been a thrilling journey of musical discovery.
