“Balu Brigada is the groove-pop duo you’ve been waiting for.” – People Magazine

“Balu Brigada are all about experimentation, inspired by genre-mashing musical giants Gorillaz and Frank Ocean. Their songs perfectly soundtrack coastal road trips, summer BBQs and flirty dancefloor moments – effortless, laidback cool….Balu Brigada’s time is now.” – Ones To Watch

Groove pop brother duo Balu Brigada kick off their next creative chapter with the premiere of their hard-hitting, bass-driven new single, “So Cold,” available now via Atlantic Records.

‘So Cold’ is about tripping up on all the subtleties of the dating game,” say Balu Brigada. “It’s the realization that there’s a lot of smoke and mirrors when it comes to attraction, and that a lot of things that feel like ‘mystique’ when you’ve got beer goggles on, are actually just someone being elusive.

So Cold” follows last year’s breakthrough EP, Find A Way, which amassed over 15M worldwide streams on the strength of such global hit singles as the top 10 viral smash, “Designer,” as well as such exhilarating tracks as “2Good” and the heartbreakingly funky title track, “Find A Way,” all of which are joined by official music videos streaming now at YouTube.

Hailed by i-D as “an actual band of brothers making tunes stacked with hooks that’ll run circles around your brain for days,” multi-instrumentalist/songwriter/producer brothers Henry and Pierre Beasley have fast garnered a loyal following and critical acclaim for Balu Brigada’s signature blend of irresistible hooks and introspective lyricism. Currently based in Brooklyn, NY, the Auckland, NZ-born Beasleys have spent much of the past few years creating a unique future-facing sound of their own, prioritizing dual vocals, prominent bass hooks, and punchy drums while showcasing a left-of-center pop sensibility and natural ability to skate genres, including such dynamic yet poignant singles as and “OH! Not Again,” as well as 2022’s debut EP, I Should Be Homeall of whichhave earned Balu Brigada applause from such outlets as Rolling StoneOnes To Watch, and People Magazine, the latter of which named the band to its “Talented Emerging Artists Making Their Mark” list, praising their “soaring falsetto choruses, synth hooks and an irresistible, underlying groove.

Balu Brigada marked the arrival of Find A Way with headline dates in Australia/New Zealand as well as a number of show-stealing North American dates alongside Quarters of Change. Additional dates will be announced soon. For updates and more, please visit www.balu-brigada.com/tour.
