AMANDA REIFER PRESENTS OFFICIAL VISUAL FOR “DRY CRY”

2x GRAMMY® Award-nominated artist Amanda Reifer has unveiled the official visual for “Dry Cry,” premiering today via YouTube. The track is among the highlights of her acclaimed collection of new files, Island Files, available now via TITLE9/Atlantic Records.

Described by Reifer as “a lil island ting to sweat to while my album’s being mixed,” Island Files features five new tracks including the sultry “Sweat,” produced by Philip “DJ Hardwerk” Constable. Reifer also released an official visual for the project’s “No Man,” available.

Today’s premiere follows last week’s debut of “Woman Now – A COLORS SHOW,” a spectacular live performance for unique aesthetic music platform COLORS, streaming now. The performance on COLORS’ clear, minimalistic stage serves as a remarkable showcase of Reifer’s talent, giving her the rare opportunity to present her music without distraction. The track is a part of her forthcoming album, The Reifer Files, which is slated to drop next year.

Island Files follows this summer’s exclusive new remix pack of Reifer’s first “official file,” “Colonize,”. The three-track collection sees the acclaimed original version joined by new spins from GRAMMY® Award-nominated producer Nana Kwabena (Jidenna, Janelle Monáe) and famed Jamaican producer Supa Dups (Becky G, Kali Uchis).

Hailed by Billboard in its “R&B/Hip-Hop Fresh Picks of the Week” as “an evocative, sensual ode to remaining steadfast in your own existence and rejecting the imposition of outside ideals or expectations,” “Colonize” sees Reifer paying homage to fellow Barbadian artist Rupee by sampling his Caribbean classic, “Tempted To Touch.” The provocative track – produced by Dahi (Kendrick Lamar, Vince Staples, Don Toliver) – is joined by a lush companion visual, streaming now at YouTube HERE. “Colonize” proved an immediate phenomenon upon its release last month, accompanied by an exclusive interview on Apple Music’s“New Music Daily Radio With Zane Lowe” and featured cover appearance on Spotify’s newly launched RNBX Magazine.

Island Files furthers a dramatic rise from Reifer, building anticipation for her eagerly awaited The Reifer Files – a series of audio/visual content releases which explore the 2x GRAMMY® Award-nominated artist’s roots expressed through her fierce Bajan Pisces perspective. Fully co-created by Reifer, the groundbreaking project sees the artist channeling the complex nature of the heart via such releases as “Devastating (Interlude),” “In And Out (Interlude),” and “Bitch Like Me (Intro),” together presenting a sultry statement of her intent with impressive self-assurance and evocative melody.
