Produced by Philip “DJ Hardwerk” Constable for The Crown, “Sweat (Part II)” sees Reifer and Paul heating up the autumn by swapping tantalizing new verses on an intoxicatingly sensual take on Reifer’s sultry “Sweat,” one of the highlights found on her acclaimed collection of Island Files, available now.
Described by Reifer as “a lil island ting to sweat to while my album’s being mixed,” Island Files further features such exhilarating tracks as “Dry Cry” and “No Man,” both joined by official visuals streaming now at YouTube. Along with “Sweat (Part II), also saw the premiere of colorful music videos for the project’s “Give Way” and “Someone Loves You Honey” along with exclusive new lyric videos for all five Island Files.
Island Files heralds the eagerly awaited arrival of Reifer’s upcoming full-length debut, The Reifer Files, set to arrive at last in the new year. Fully co-created by Reifer, the groundbreaking project sees the 2x GRAMMY® Award-nominated artist channeling the complex nature of the heart with impressive self-assurance and evocative melody, all showcasing her vivid creativity and fierce Bajan Pisces perspective. This spring saw the arrival of Reifer’s first “official file,” “Colonize,” which sees her paying homage to fellow Barbadian artist Rupee by sampling his Caribbean classic, “Tempted To Touch,” and is joined by a lush companion visual, streaming now HERE. Hailed by Billboard in its “R&B/Hip-Hop Fresh Picks of the Week” as “an evocative, sensual ode to remaining steadfast in your own existence and rejecting the imposition of outside ideals or expectations,” the provocative track proved an immediate phenomenon upon its release, accompanied by an exclusive interview on Apple Music’s “New Music Daily Radio With Zane Lowe” and featured cover appearance on Spotify’s newly launched RNBX Magazine.
