“…all set against a backdrop of infectious melodies and irresistible hooks. Kacia’s vocals soar effortlessly over the vibrant production, creating a sonic landscape that invites listeners to reflect on their own experiences of growing up” – Earmilk

Standing as his fifth single, the Alt-Pop singer-songwriter, Kacia, is following a string of significant releases including “Young Fun Dumb”, “Night Out”, “Plastic Straws” and “Drifting Apart”. Navigating life after a relationship gone sour, the emerging wordsmith is on a journey of self-love by redefining the abundance of emotions that comes with it in his latest release “Living It Out”.

et to feature on his forthcoming album ‘What is Life is Just a Movie?’ Kacia is building a candid relationship with the use of vulnerability, bridging a relatable gap through lyrical substance. Keeping listeners on their toes, he explores a different sound by teaming up with producer and mixing engineer Matthew Fisher. The longtime friends create a mature approach, emphasising Kacia’s self-growth as he processes each stage of grief following a relationship gone sour. Paired with vulnerable lyrics, Living It Out is the ultimate letting go anthem. The accompanying music video returns to the location of his previous visual “Night Out”, a nod to the telling of time and how life continues to go on either way. Joining forces with Tom Knibbs from Silent K productions, we follow Kacia around various scenic backdrops.

Speaking on the making behind the release, Kacia explained, “What’s exciting about this record is that it’s genuinely matured alongside me. It’s followed me from being 17 and that transitional period of change, to being 22 and about to graduate from university. I’m so proud of ‘Living it Out’ as it’s a song that sums up a lot of emotions for me and it’s one that I look back at and think about what such a pivotal moment this was for me growing up and understanding the reality of relationships and how things change. It’s one for all those that are young and dealing with first experiences of heartbreak.

In terms of its writing process, it was such an organic song to write, sometimes I have to sit there and think about the direction a track needs to go in and I end up with 30 versions of it before I’m even remotely attached to it, but “Living it Out” was one that came about very quickly and it’s structure was immediate. I knew exactly where it needed to go. It only feels right  to have this song out now as it’s in perfect correlation to what we’ve been building up to and what we’ve already achieved.”

Hailing from Portsmouth, Kieran Poling otherwise known as Kacia is an emerging singer-songwriter who’s aiming to redefine the alt-pop scene with his dynamic artistry, citing The 1975, No Rome and Lany as his main musical influences. Housing previous support from Wonderland, EARMILK, CloutCloutClout, and more, alongside radio support from Mollie King’s ‘Future Sounds’ show on BBC Radio 1 and playlisting on Apple Music’s ‘New Music Daily’, ‘Pop Deluxe’, and ‘New in Pop’ playlists. Already being named as “the next big thing in Alt-Pop”by Wonderland Magazine, Kacia is on a mission to solidify his one-to-watch status.
