Multidimensional creative Alice Longyu Gao releases their new mini-album Assembling Symbols Into My Own Poetry via ÂŁÏÇÉ THE ŁÄBĘŁ, today. Assembling Symbols Into My Own Poetry includes the recently shared single “Little Piggy,” which arrived on Monday with stunning visuals of Alice bathed in flashing lights while rocking out beside their harp, one of their many treasured symbols.
The new mini-album will also include their singles “Detective Alice神探埃粒司,” “Lesbians <3,” “<3 Korean Girls” featuring Mega Mongoliad (a new project from Omega Sapien and Leesuho of Balming Tiger) and “Bird W/O Nest”, featuring Danny Brown. Alice recently appeared on The Danny Brown Show to speak with him about Assembling Symbols Into My Own Poetry, their recent tour together, and Alice’s creative processes.
Speaking about the mini album, Alice shares, “These songs were made when my life felt alive again. This music talks to my romantic soul, the fountain in my heart, which is where my art has come from since birth. This album is some delicious wine that I made with fresh water from my fountain.”
Over the course of Assembling Symbols Into My Own Poetry, Alice harnesses raw feelings and personal reflections into a powerful stream of strength and self-realization. These songs were made during a time when Alice felt reinvigorated and replenished the creative fountain that exists inside them – an idea that’s central to the mini album’s concept. Assembling Symbols Into My Own Poetry joins 2021’s High Dragon and Universe and last year’s Let’s Hope Heteros Fail, Learn and Retire to conclude the trio of musical projects that comprise Alice Longyu Gao’s debut.
Launching in November, Alice will take their multifaceted live show on the road with the Tea With Alice headline tour, set to include both UK and European legs. This upcoming tour follows their Alice The Club DJ tour earlier this Summer, which saw them bring electrifying DJ sets to an artistic audience dancing all night across North America and their aforementioned dates opening for Danny Brown this Spring.
