Legendary French duo AIR shares exciting news for their global fanbase as they are set to livestream their second-night performance from London’s prestigious Royal Albert Hall. While already captivating audiences across Europe and the UK and gearing up for their North American tour in the fall, the duo is eager to extend the reach of their mesmerizing shows. Teaming up with DRIIFT, the band will stream their performance on May 31st, offering fans worldwide an immersive experience.
The whole show will be livestreamed worldwide at 4pm ET / 1pm PT ( 9pm London / 10pm Paris) and then rebroadcast twice more at 9pm ET and 9pm PT before it is available to watch on demand from Saturday, June 1st, at 2am ET until Tuesday, June 4th. Live stream tickets are available here.
Additionally, this Friday, May 17th, the physical package (2CD/BluRay) commemorating the 25th anniversary of Moon Safari will be available in North America. This edition is available to purchase here. This precedes their tour featuring the complete performance of the cherished album this fall. The tour spans 21-cities, including Vancouver, Los Angeles, Chicago, and New York City and is already mostly sold out. AIR’s boundary-pushing album has long been praised for its innovative sonics that have inspired countless musicians to think outside the box, so much so that their influence even transcended their own medium. Since Nicolas Godin and Jean-Benoit Dunckel formed the band in 1995, the prolific duo has released six albums in addition to their acclaimed EP Premiers Symptômes, which was followed by the release of the aforementioned classic Moon Safari along with two soundtracks that all together sold millions of copies. AIR garnered an extensive list of worldwide accolades for their unique brand of downtempo electronic music that not only sculpted the sound for the next generation of electronic-influenced pop music but also was able to withstand the test of time in its own right.
