PRODUCED BY GRAMMY AWARD WINNING PRODUCER JAE5 [J HUS, REMA, DAVE, STORMZY ETC]
Following on from the September release “OLOLUFE”, Ghanaian hit-maker Sarkodie has returned this time with Nigerian singer-songwriter and rapper Victony for the release of “Jailer”. Produced by the UK’s highly acclaimed producer JAE5 [Dave, Rema, J Hus], the Afrobeats anthem explores the intricacies of love and friendship. With a shared Instagram following of over 6 million supporters, “Jailer” continues to push the sounds of summer as we head into the winter months.
Underpinned with an infectious and percussive production courtesy of JAE5, “Jailer” boasts Victony’s silky vocals as he welcomes the track with a catchy chorus, setting the tone for what’s yet to come. Sitting centre stage with his thought provoking verses, Sarkodie’s punching flow and candid penmanship solidify his musical ability to cater to any track. Bridging a gap of relatability, “Jailer” is an Afrobeats anthem that celebrates the level of talent in Africa.
When asked about the single Sarkodie commented, “Sometimes the right one for you is right next to you but we keep searching elsewhere… Jailer is a very deep story line and I know a lot of people have experienced it or something similar”
