ABOUT FRIDAYY

Born Francis LeBlanc, Fridayy developed his musical talents early, mastering multiple instruments under the influence of his father, a Haitian immigrant and musician. He honed his sound—an evocative blend of alternative R&B and gospel—through church choir performances, drawing inspiration from PartyNextDoor and The Weeknd. While initially pursuing basketball, an injury led him back to music, where he quietly built his craft before breaking through in 2022 with a feature on DJ Khaled’s “GOD DID” alongside Rick Ross, Lil Wayne, and Jay-Z. Since then, he has written, produced, and collaborated with artists like Lil Baby, Chris Brown, and Rod Wave. Recognized for his rising influence, Fridayy was named to XXL’s 2023 Freshman Class, delivering a heartfelt freestyle performance backed by a choir.
