Ohio-raised and Nashville-based singer-songwriter Nolan Taylor has unveiled details for his upcoming headlining tour in support of his just-released, self-titled debut full-length LP, Nolan Taylor, available now via Atlantic Records HERE. The cross country trek kicks off at the Louisiana Grandstand in Shreveport, LA, on April 4th, following a run of dates supporting Charles Wesley Godwin as well as a pair of shows with Ole 60 (full itinerary below). Friday’s album release was also accompanied by the music video for the single “Don’t Have The Words,” which is streaming on his official YouTube channel.
On his self-titled full-length debut, Nolan commented, “I had a blast making this album and am thankful to have worked with so many awesome people and producers. Making the record in so many different locations was wild from Upstate NY to Malibu to LA to Seattle to Oregon. I cut this record all over the place, and I wrote songs all over this place. There’s a bunch of songs that you know, songs I wrote years ago, there’s new songs, and I’m just really proud of this body of work. It’s a deep dive into my life – stories and ideas I’ve had in my head for a long time that are finally coming out to fruition. Super excited to get this project out for you, my debut record, Nolan Taylor, self-titled. Thank you guys so much. Onward & Upward.”
Meanwhile, the visual for “Don’t Have The Words” speaks to the song’s intense emotional intimacy. It threads together the most candid moments of a lovestruck relationship, intercutting tight and tearful closeups of a man and a woman with scenes of everyday domestic bliss. In between, Nolan sings directly to the camera, channeling raw feeling from the sparse arrangement and naked vocals. His voice cracks with clear-hearted intent as he proclaims, “No one deserves the heart that’s always on your sleeve, I’ll never leave.”
Last month, he set the stage for the album with “I Belong In Your Arms.” The latter has just begun to pick up steam on DSPs. Right out of the gate, it also earned critical acclaim. Whiskey Riff attested, “his latest release gives us a glimpse of Taylor’s sonic capabilities while still focusing on the deft lyricism that so many fans have grown to love from Taylor,” going on to predict, “Nolan Taylor is sure to be the catalyst that starts the next year off strong for new music.”

ABOUT NOLAN TAYLOR:
When Nolan Taylor grabs a guitar and steps up to a microphone, he speaks for the desperate, the deserted, and the downtrodden who deserve a voice and demand a chance to be heard. The Ohio-raised and Nashville-based singer, songwriter, and guitarist knows the hopelessness of an impoverished upbringing surrounded by addiction firsthand. However, he also knows what the light at the end of the tunnel feels like—because he dug himself out of despair and found that light. Growing up in Blanchester, OH, he initially lived in a small home. His mother fell prey to drugs and mental health turbulence, leaving Nolan and his brother to be raised by dad—who worked several jobs to make ends meet. He bounced around from place-to-place until life settled down during sophomore year of high school. Music offered a semblance of stability. Upon graduating high school, Nolan tirelessly gigged anywhere he could. A live video of “68” (which directly addresses the relationship with his mom and the topic of addiction) went viral and caught the attention of Atlantic Records. He gained traction with the Life & Love EP and Live From The Living Room EP. Beyond sharing bills with everyone from The Revivalists and City and Colour to 49 Winchester, Charley Crockett, and Band of Horses he sold out his headline Cincinnati Heart Tour. He contributed “Driving You Home” to Twisters: The Album, which accompanied Twisters and is nominated for a GRAMMY®.
