Versatile pop sensation Nonô transports fans to Brazil with her scorching anticipated +55 EP, releasing today via Helix Records.
Flying the flag for Brazil in the UK, the Rio-born, London-based Nonô delivers a vibrant ode to her home country on +55. Through four essential tracks, the emerging star melts ears with unmistakable fiery Brazilian vocals and pristinely produced backing tracks merging classic Latin sounds with various genres. These four tracks include the project’s final sharp and bopping anthem ‘Desaparecida’, along with previous singles ‘ALÔ’ which featured on F124 video game soundtrack, the huge ‘Vem’, a hit on the latest FC25 soundtrack alongside Billie Eilish and Charli xcx, and November’s baile-funk club track, ‘Fenomenal’.
Speaking about final single ‘Desaparecida’, Nonô says, “Desaparecida is about feeling lost. The literal translation means ‘gone missing’ and it talks about my journey of moving from Brazil to England and the constant search for my identity. Over the years, I realised that not only have I always known who I was, but that who I am is ever changing – it’s something that keeps evolving. The song is also about my own and other’s expectations of ‘making it’ in the industry.
In the music video, I’m walking in the desert and through mountains which symbolises both the journey of self-discovery and how navigating the music industry often feels with all the highs and all the lows.”
