JAEL GOES ‘D33P’ ON GARAGE/BASS BANGER AHEAD OF VILLAGE UNDERGROUND ALL-NIGHTER

Multi-talented producer and DJ brings the heat with gritty dance floor anthem – also announces all-nighter launch party at Village Underground London.

Moluccan producer and DJ, JAEL, is back with his latest single, the bass-driven banger ‘D33P’. Out 29th November on Mena Muria Records, he’s also announced an all-nighter (selling out fast) at Village Underground, to mark the release.

The Amsterdam-based producer keeps the club-ready heat coming with ‘D33P’, This time venturing into a darker, bass-heavy realm, dipping into dubstep territory. It’s part of a natural evolution from JAEL’s previous R&B and neo-soul-focussed offerings, heard on hits like ‘Take You There’ (4.8M streams) and his 2021 album, Half As Much.

‘D33P’ takes this evolution to the next level, blending dark, sub-heavy beats with sharp high-energy breaks shaped into a halftime 140 bpm drum pattern, all braided together with choppy distorted vocals for an added layer of rave intensity. With this latest release, JAEL continues to push the boundaries of his catalog, expanding on his diverse range of genres and styles.

This is the first single from JAEL’s forthcoming EP of the same name, on which the heralded producer and DJ experiments with UK bass genres, flexing leftfield garage, subversive basslines and creating cinematic melodies from distorted vocals. This follows the hearty success of previous single ‘Nancy Junglist’, the heavy jungle release which sampled the legendary Sister Nancy track ‘Bam Bam’.

On his upcoming EP ‘D33P’ JAEL says, “I’m tapping back in with the roots of my electronic sound that I can play during the prime time of my set. What you can expect from the new EP is a cocktail of Garage, 140 and deep Bass.”

JAEL’s vibrant, high-energy performance style arose from his eclectic upbringing, immersed in the sounds of Moluccan folk, gospel, soul and Japanese funk. This rich musical foundation has shaped his energising approach to both his live performances and DJ capabilities, earning him global recognition.

His collaboration with Juls on ‘Close to Me Together’ featuring Wizkid and Agent Sasco has solidified JAEL’s place within the international music scene, and with standout performances at major events like Boiler Room Festival (AMS) and a headline set at O2 Brixton, he has continued to captivate audiences worldwide, touring across South Africa, Asia, Australia, and New Zealand. His monthly radio show CAROUSEL JAEL on Rinse FM has garnered the Moluccan producer a host of following, with his debut album Half as Much receiving widespread acclaim.
