BLVK H3RO JOINS FORCES WITH GLASSFACE FOR HIGHLY ANTICIPATED COLLABORATIVE EP ‘ACTIVE’

A positive influence to the younger generation, Jamaica’s Grammy nominated trailblazer Blvk H3ro has joined forces with producer and multi-disciplinary creative Glassface [Lil Yachty, Kid Cudi, Ms. Lauryn Hill] for their highly anticipated EP,  ‘ACTIVE’. Challenging the boundaries of the modern day soundscape with their one-of-a-kind approach, this body of work unites cultures from all over the world in four wheel-up worthy tracks.

Opening the EP with ACTIVE, a seamless mix of Dancehall and Electronic elements produced by Glassface and Grammy-nominated producer Noah Beresin [Skrillex, Ty$, Blood Orange, Big Sean], “ACTIVE” is a triumphant statement that enables Blvk H3ro to glaze his infectious vocals atop. Forming an infectious dancefloor filler, we swiftly transition into “UP”. Kicking the night into high gear, this energy-driven track houses a pulsing production from both Glassface and Mucky [Sevdaliza, Wiley, Will.I.Am]. Carrying a message of energy and elevation Blvk H3ro fuels the relentless spirit behind the track with his frenzied flow. Moving into “BRICK”, a fine blend of Afro-Dancehall elements with Brazilian percussion and an added mix of English and Yoruba vocals, this track is a melting pot of cultures. Housing production from Glassface and Mucky, the intention behind this creation was layers; building a sense of strength and determination for those on the grind. Incorporating samba-inspired rhythms and deep basslines to create a gritty yet uplifting vibe, the pair close out the EP with “MOTION”. Capturing a late night party in full swing, Blvk H3ro, Glassface and Mucky, lean further into Afrobeat and Electronic sounds, creating a deep cut that’s glossed with his signature vocals.

Cementing his trailblazer sound, Blvk H3ro and Glassface have captured different cultures whilst pushing the boundaries of contemporary sound, forming an unpredictable body of work that will stand the test of time.

Blvk H3ro, pronounced Black Hero, is an artist reputed for pushing boundaries with his signature modern reggae sound. Collaborating with household named including Skillibeng, Bunny Wailer, Stonebwoy, Teejay, Kojo Funds, and many more, the Grammy-nominated artist has also featured in ad campaigns for Carhartt, Clarks, Karl Kani, Levi’s and The Elder Statesman. Following the release of his 2023 debut album ‘On A Mission’ that accumulated praise online, the trailblazer houses an extensive sound that blends reggae, dancehall, afrobeats, and more into one captivating listen. Jamaica’s Prime Minister Andrew Holness has commended Blvk H3ro for his positive influence on Jamaican youth with his song “It Nuh Easy”. Housing previous support from BBC 1Xtra, Complex UK, Wonderland, GUAP, Wordplay, EARMILK, FACT Magazine, and CRACK Magazine who named him as “Sounds of the Future”, the ‘ACTIVE’ EP marks the start of a new creative era for Blvk H3ro.
