The time has now perhaps come to make more than just a dent in the industry as Honeybadger unleash their latest, no holds barred single, “Maybe I”. Describing themselves as “high energy garage punk”, this Brighton-based trio is breaking down doors and leaving venues demanding more of their distinctive blend of punk, indie rock, and psychedelia.

Honeybadger’s new single Maybe Itells the tale of someone who’s always biting off more than they can chew, yet never at a loss for words. It’s a raw exploration of overconfidence fueled by inexperience, a bold dive into the chaos of ambition without a safety net. With their rapid rise to success seemingly feeling unstoppable we’d highly recommend not sleeping on this band. With glowing endorsements from industry powerhouses, Honeybadger are poised to make a big impact on the scene.

When asked about the inspiration behind the single, Honeybadger explained,”The track ‘Maybe I’ is a personal favourite of the band. It is reserved only for last in our live sets as we always really put the last of our energy, frustration, everything we’ve got left into it. This is mirrored by the crowd as this is the track that always gets em jumping! The subject of the tune is an encounter with the type of person we all know well; incompetence masked by over confidence. The talking point is based on a person we’ve all, as a band, had experience with so we decided to channel those frustrating encounters into the rage and energy filled live performances and studio recordings

Composed of brothers Eddy (guitar, vocals), Joe (drums), and their old school friend Luca (bass) Honeybadger draw influence from iconic bands such as Drenge, Them Crooked Vultures, Pretty Vicious, and The White Stripes. Their music is characterised by gritty guitars, impressive riffs, and rough-around-the-edge vocals, all driven by the immediacy of pounding drums and tantalising basslines.

Honeybadger has captivated audiences with stellar live performances, including most recently headlining The Alternative Escape Festival 2024 as well as previous appearances on BBC Introducing and BBC Live Lounge. They have garnered support from Wyatt Wendel’s ‘The New Rock Show’ on Planet Rock and achieved a top #15 spot on the Kerrang! Chart with their single ‘Spell It Out’ and #19 on the most recent release ‘Gone Cold’ alongside a number of Apple Music Editorial playlists too. Esteemed voices like Steve Lamacq of BBC Radio 6 and CLASH Magazine have praised the band highly, “Melding together punk, indie rock, and psychedelic tropes, they’ve become a go-to live outfit, playing shows across the country“.
