The legendary Dutch DJ puts a new spin on the 2011 worldwide hit
DJ legend Tiësto continues his foray into Latin music with a revved-up new rendition of Don Omar’s ‘Danza Kuduro’, out 12th April via Confidential.
Tiësto’s take on ‘Danza Kuduro’ elevates the 2011 smash to a whole new level with pulse-pounding, throbbing percussion and an array of electro-house production flourishes. The original, which featured reggaeton singer Lucenzo and has over 11 billion streams, is one of the most popular Latin American hits of all time, ranking #43 on Rolling Stone`s Greatest Latin Pop Songs.
Tiësto has a history of remixing Latino megahits. This latest release comes hot on the heels of another Latin Tiësto rework of ‘La Falda’, the 2023 smash hit of Puerto Rican superstar Myke Towers, while his remix for Farruko’s ‘Pepas’ currently clocks in around 80 million streams on Spotify. Elsewhere, his rendition of Bizarrap & Quevedo’s ‘Quedate’ started a good friendship with Bizarrap, and Tiësto was also called upon for a remix of Bizarrap & Shakira’s collaboration which appears on Shakira’s new LP Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran.
GRAMMY® Award-winning, platinum-certified, international icon, Tiësto has over eight billion global streams across platforms, 36M+ Total Record Sales, 30M+ social audience & over 160M TikTok views across users. The DJ and producer is the only artist to ever hold the titles of “The Greatest DJ of All Time” courtesy of Mixmag, “#1 DJ” according to Rolling Stone, and “The Godfather of EDM” as proclaimed by Billboard.
From his underground dance floor bangers to his high-profile Las Vegas residency and crossover success, Tiësto created the blueprint that defines what it means to be a success in today’s dance music world.
