LUSAINT SHARES STRIPPED-BACK VIDEO FOR LATEST SINGLE ‘SWEET TOOTH’

The track will feature on the Mancunian’s hotly anticipated debut EP coming this summer

Building more buzz for her debut EP coming this summer, Manchester-based singer-songwriter Lusaint has shared a self-assured music video for her latest single ‘Sweet Tooth’.

In a stripped-back visual that lets the music speak for itself, Lusaint and her band give a candid performance of the stunning ‘Sweet Tooth’. Already fast approaching a million streams and with support all across Europe since its February release, it’s an addictive tune from Lusaint about struggling to resist the forbidden fruit of a relationship.

Following Lusaint’s TV performance on Taratata on Friday (watch here), ‘Sweet Tooth’ has entered multiple charts in France including; #8 in the Shazam Discovery Chart and #46 in the Shazam Pop Chart followed by a new entry at #81 in the Spotify Viral Daily Charts. The record has also had 9 spins on BBC Radio 1 from Clara AmfoJack Saunders, Future Pop, and Dean & Vicky, as well as shooting to #12 in the iTunes main chart and has been added to Future Hits on Apple Music in France too.

The track was also added to Europe 1 and Radio Nova playlist last week and Lusaint announced her 5x date French tour for the end of May.

Meanwhile in the UK, the songstress is also preparing for a headline show at Paper Dress Vintage in London on May 1st, before playing The Great Escape on May 17th (Orchard Stage) and Cosmic Gape Festival in Chester in July.

‘Sweet Tooth’ followed previous singles ‘Dream Life’‘Fool For You’, and the powerful debut single ‘Dark Horse’, all to feature on her debut EP, self sabotage, releasing in summer 2024 and produced by Blue May, who has worked with Joy CrookesJorja SmithLily Allen and Kano.

With over 60 million streams globally, Manchester-based singer-songwriter Lusaint’s distinctive music has captured hearts since her 2019 breakthrough with its melodic blend of jazz and blues influences.

The songstress has come a long way since her breakthrough in 2019, a year in which she broke the daily record for most Shazams in 24 hours. Since then, acoustic covers of Beyoncé’s ‘Crazy In Love’ and ‘Wicked Game’ by Chris Isaak have drawn acclaim, with the latter hitting over 16 million YouTube views, and in 2022, she made a scene-stealing appearance on Franky Wah’s ‘Find Out Who We Are’.
