As we begin to step toward the summer months, Australian rap sensation, who now firmly bases himself in London, Allday has gifted supporters with his new single, “Drip Drop”, in the lead up to his forthcoming album, ‘The Necklace’ dropping August 2nd via Dew Process (Mallrat, Sam Fender, London Grammar, Lola Young) . “Drip Drop” is a refreshing construct that blends elements of rap and pop, forming a sonic space assembled for emotional substance.
“Drip Drop” cusps the release of Allday’s first entry point into album mode with February release “Access” and a spontaneous freestyle of an iconic Jamie XX beat, which won’t be joining the album but does showcase Allday’s new home – see here. Unfastening what’s set to be another milestone release for the phenomenon, “Drip Drop” is an introspective single that allows for a deeper connection with his fanbase. Unraveling personal anecdotes that detail the complexity of the human experience, Allday highlights his come-up and the grind that’s taken him to his current status. Producing relatable lyricism that connects with the masses, Allday continues to push the boundaries of his sound, emphasizing his evolution and all-round authenticity. Growing up in the city of Adelaide, Gaynor, otherwise known as Allday, grew up on a selection of different genres from rap to bands in the 80’s and 90’s including The Cure, Oasis, Echo, The Verve, and more.
