The Reculture label head crafts an unforgettable dance floor moment
One of the underground scene’s most exciting and talented prospects, Brighton-based FAIDE shares a new remix of his recent single ‘Every Day Apart’ from Reculture label head Hardt Antoine.
On his new interpretation of the uplifting house original, which was released in September 2023, Hardt Antoine uses evolving pads over a driving heartbeat and huge 80s inspired bass to create an emotional take that’s sure to create unforgettable moments on the dancefloor and beyond.
James Flavell aka FAIDE has had an intriguing musical journey from punk rock drummer to electronic music maestro. From his home studio he has carved out a unique sound characterised by intricately layered percussion and captivating melodies, with the incorporation of organic live-recorded instruments, adding depth and authenticity to his compositions.
Cementing his place on the underground scene, FAIDE has released music on the likes of Still Vor Talent, Frau Blau, Reculture, and Berlin imprint Mood Music. His tracks have gained widespread recognition and support from notable names such as Mano Le Tough, Jimi Jules, Echonomist, Franky & Sandrino, Skatman, Alican, Magdalena, Oliver Koletski, Kadosh, Nick Warren and more.
Seamlessly weaving between DJ, producer, label head and promoter, HARDT ANTOINE’s artistic credentials cut boldly through the dance music. His eclectic music taste – strongly stemmed from his mixed French and Jamaican heritage – muses between many genres including house, classical, soul and ‘80s pop, resulting in productions which blend exciting melodies, sprinkles of vocals and an abundance of groove – all underpinned with a temptatious techno kick. Antoine’s strong output has been a favourite across the club circuit from Berghain’s Panorama Bar to fabric and SXM Festival, with tracks subsequently signed to electronic music’s most respected big-name labels including Innervisions, Kompakt, Correspondant, TAU and fabric Records.
Further afield, Antoine brings his expertise to label ANEMOS DANCE, which he runs with Maglia, Ilias Petrakis and DJ Gregory. The label has released some of Europe’s most sought-after electronic tracks, from both bigger names and rising artists in the scene, with all tracks composed in The Cyclades during the off season.
As well as playing an extensive selection of records and making music, Hardt Antoine runs his own label and event series, Reculture, the London brand focused on bringing quality electronic music to the capital.
This new take on ‘Every Day Apart’ is a prime example: uplifting, inventive and emotionally hard-hitting, this is a Reculture tune with endless replayability.
