After a string of successful singles, rising singer-songwriter Ophelia’s Eden unveils her much-anticipated debut album Boundary Road, out now.

A reflection on the singer’s nomadic journey, Boundary Road is an enchanting listen from back to front. Inspired by the divine feminine, the production of the album was a therapeutic release during the lockdowns, and aims to uplift listeners and bring positivity to life.

Album opener ‘Flow Like A River’ opens the album with a cinematic flourish, before the infectious ‘Magic’ kicks the album into a cool house groove. ‘Magic’ is one of five album singles along with She, ‘Love Trip’‘Whatever Be Will Be’ and ‘Mad’, which have surpassed 100K streams on Spotify and aired on BBC DevonCornwall and Somerset for BBC Introducing. Further album highlights include the epic slow-build of ‘Mother’s Love’ and the jazzy, soothing melodies of ‘Take All You Need’. Closing on a blissed-out note, ‘What About Now’ looks to the future with hope and optimism, with the album’s final word on repeat: “free”. Influenced by jazz, dub, soul, classical and downtempo, Boundary Road is defined by sonic exploration, as a melange of delicate strings, reverberating synths and sumptuous piano accompanies Ophelia’s Eden’s layered vocals over minimalist beats.

“Boundary Road is a reflection of the journey I am currently on, travelling and living in my camper-van”, she says. “But, also a journey of our own minds. Exploring mental health and freeing ourselves from restraints that stop our flow. Inspired by the divine feminine. Sacred, sensual, creating and healing.”

Ophelia’s Eden grew up in the countryside hills of Devon, before developing her artistry in Brighton. She is currently traveling the world in her campervan, inspiring people with magic along the way. Ophelia’s Eden‘s discography offers a captivating blend of electro-pop and alternative pop to soul and folktronica that draws inspiration from a diverse range of artists, such as Quincy Jones and Billie Holiday to Bon Iver, James Blake, Little Dragon, Jungle and Maribou State.
