Afrobeats icon Davido continues his unstoppable run with the release of the third single from his highly anticipated album, 5IVE. Titled “Be There Still”, the track is a direct tribute to his core audience — those who have been with him since day one, and his promise to stay true to them.
Following the success of previous singles “Awuke” ft. YG Marley and “FUNDS” ft. Odumodublvck & Chike, “Be There Still” revisits Davido’s signature sound. The track which was co-produced by South African multihyphenate DJ Maphorisa delivers a chant-like, anthemic feel, blending infectious rhythms with a raw, emotional vocal delivery that embodies the heart and soul of Afrobeats. Speaking on the track, Davido said “This one is for my Day 1s. ‘Be There Still’ is all about perseverance, and the journey. It’s a sound my fans know and love. I’m excited the world finally gets to hear it.”
Set to appear on his upcoming album 5IVE, which Davido has called his “best album to date,” the song reaffirms his ability to create music that resonates deeply with his audience while continuing to expand the global reach of Afrobeats. 5IVE is due April 2025 via Sony Music UK/RCA Records.
